You can take my word on this: I am all too familiar with the misery of back pain! I am an auto appraiser, which is to say that when someone wants to know the value of their own vehicle or how much a car is truly worth that they are thinking of buying, I’m the person who crawls, slides, or by some other means makes his way under an automobile that is more often than not waiting for me on hard concrete, hot blacktop, or scratchy, abrasive gravel, and the person who spends most of innumerable hours in a bending position while looking under the hood. And, I let me tell you that my most worthwhile relationship is the one I have with my chiropractor, only second to the one I have with my wife! monthly maintenance appointments with her, instead of waiting for a breakdown and sudden mechanical difficulties (like not being able to walk upright), then I find that I’m ready to hit the road every day pain-free!

Are you wondering what is involved in an auto appraisal? It’s an interest plenty people have. So, I’d like to explain one or two of the services that an expert auto appraiser offers:

An auto appraiser is your experienced set of eyes and can save you travel time and money, whether you are attempting to buy on e-bay or viewing a car “from afar.” After talking with you by phone, your auto appraiser will expertly check out the automobile you’re interested in and will find out all that you need to know to help you decide if the automobile is for you and if the asking price is set appropriately.

If you’ve been in an accident, a good auto appraiser can get your damaged vehicle inspected within forty-eight hours of accepting an assignment, write an estimate, and attempt to get an agreed price with a repair facility.

And, if that accident turned our vehicle into a total loss, and you’re unhappy with the settlement your insurance company is offering for your totaled car because you realize that you can’t replace your car for the amount offered, then your adjuster can review all the facts.

Of course, there’s a good deal more that a qualified auto appraiser has to offer, including semi and RV appraisals. However, what I truly wanted you to take away from this ode to auto appraisers is that your auto appraiser usually gets himself into painful situations on your behalf to help keep your auto-related decisions pain-free!

San Diego Chiropractor

As a San Diego Chiropractor, I counsel many individuals who come to my clinic who want to lose weight. I know how hard it can be, and I also know how important it is to lose those extra pounds. What’s a few extra pounds? Over time, those pounds can add up to a substantial number of health problems from heart and pulmonary diseases and diabetes to back challenges and joint degeneration. Even a few additional pounds put harmful stress on organs, like the heart, as well as on joints in the low back, hips, and knees. A shocking 62% of men and women in America are overweight or obese, according to recent studies. That is a very significant figure and a truly gigantic national health issue (no pun intended).

It is likely no surprise to you to learn that the human body was not designed to transport additional poundage in the form of body fat. A mere excess of 20 or 30 pounds can literally overload and overburden the joints and muscles of the body. Added weight in the abdominal region, for instance, requires that the body compensate (counterbalance the weight) by tilting the pelvis forward. This shift creates compression in the joints of the low back. Joint compression inhibits nerve activity and causes painful inflammation. A larger percentage of people that have a “spare tire”feel substantical pain in their low back caused by an impingement of the sciatic nerve or spinal misalignments that impinge nerves as a result of weight-bearing stresses. If left untreated, misaligned vertebra not only continue to irritate the degenerative changes that have already taken place, but can develop into new arthritic changes in the spine in the future.

Here are the ways in which chiropractic treatment can help. To begin with the obvious, a “normal” body weight is necessary in order for the musculoskeletal system to perform in the way it is meant to. That said, in addition, chiropractic adjustments relieve nerve impingements in the vertebral column and help to get motion back into the joints of the musculoskeletal system, such as in the low back, hips, and knees. And, obviously exercise and physical activity is a lot easier, and healthier for the body, when the spine is in alignment and the joints have good motion. The added benefit of exercise the, in addition to helping with weight reduction, it can actually reduce degenerative changes as the body ages.

It is always a good idea to discuss diet and exercise options with a healthcare professional, like your chiropractor. In addition to treating men and women suffering from back pain and joint inflammation, chiropractors offer proficient suggestions on the kinds of lifestyle modifications that can help you to stay healthier, more vigorous, and more active through the years. Arthritis and immobility due to aging don’t have to be unavoidable. The structure of the human body is intended to carry a person through an entire lifetime of pain-free movement.

So, if those extra few pounds have started to add up to a lot of pain, as your chiropractor in San Diego and someone who cares deeply about your overall health, I can help. Make an appointment today!

There is a variety of treatment options from which you can choose when it comes to your back pain and pain in other parts of your body because of arthritic changes, including going to see a San Jose chiropractor. However, quite a few men and women who are experiencing painful arthritis and back pain still suppose that they ought to go to a medical doctor as the only way to find a cure for their condition. However, you might be surprised to know that not many medical doctors are actually educated in how to help individuals eliminate, or naturally decrease the problem of back pain due to arthritis. Medical doctors are accustomed to treating symptoms through medication, rather than finding and treating the cause of the pain you are feeling. And, while certain medications may soothe the symptoms of arthritis, there is plenty more that you can do not simply for pain relief, but to actually slow down arthritic changes in your body.

Going to see a San Jose chiropractor is actually one of the most beneficial things that you can do to ameliorate your arthritis and back pain. Chiropractors are doctors who practice entirely in working on the muscular and skeletal system, and arthritis is a joint problem. Chiropractic care has helped many people to slow the process of arthritis by helping their joints to move. Movement is essential for joint health. A good chiropractor is an expert at treating back pain, even when it is caused by arthritis

You feel a bit concerned about what to expect if you’ve never been to a chiropractor before. It might help to give a quick overview about what you can expect. You will be given the opportunity to discuss your medical history, which will probably include a family history of arthritis. The chiropractor will want to know about your current lifestyle and may offer explicit modifications that will be advantages in decreasing the inflammation produced by arthritis. And, finally, you will receive a thorough examination. After the examination is complete, the chiropractor will let you know if chiropractic management can help your back pain, as well as relieve your painful arthritic symptoms. After that you will be told about the particular treatment you will require.

A chiropractic adjustment relieves pain gently and naturally, and it is a painless process. And, the best part of going to a chiropractor for your back pain and arthritis is that you can feel assured that the reason for your pain is being addressed, and that the relief you experience is not masking the symptom of pain, but truly eliminating the origin of your problem.

Sacramento Chiropractor

With any sort of sport, injuries are not uncommon. You can frequently avoid getting injured in a particular sport by determining what injury is likely to occur, and then do whatever it takes to avoid it. Sadly, sports injuries can’t always be avoided. As a result, it’s beneficial to take conscientious care of your body to make getting injured less likely, or less traumatic. The most valuable thing that you can do is to be certain that you have an appropriate fitness level before starting to play a sport, such as golf. By perpetuating a healthy lifestyle, keeping your joints mobile and your muscles limber, warming and stretching your body before activity, using proper form and good postures while actively playing, and allowing yourself sufficient cool down and relaxation time, you will probably keep your body safe from injury.

Golf injuries don’t only happen to amateurs. Approximately, one-third of pro golfers play injured at any given time. Fortunately, general good health and fitness can reduce how many injuries you may incur and could actually prevent them altogether.

It is vital for you to have good body strength in the muscle zones most used during golf. However, before you try to build muscle strength, it’s prudent to make certain your spine is aligned and has good mobility. A successful golf swing relies on your spine’s ability to efficiently rotate adequately. Back injuries are the most common type of injuries experienced by golfers. Your Sacramento chiropractor will establish that your spine is in healthy alignment and that there is efficient movement of the vertebrae. Chiropractic treatment can go a long way in helping you to avert back injury.

It’s time to strengthen once you’re “straightened.” A safe, injury-free day on the green is contingent upon your being prepared for your golf game. You can warm up your muscles and make muscle strain less likely by doing golf stretching and flexibility exercises. Flexibility in all parts of the body can be escalated fairly quickly as the result of full body range of motion (ROM) exercises. Additionally, elastic band conditioning affords functional golf range of motion benefits and can build needed energy in the shoulders, hips and deep muscles of the core. Since elastic band training supplies the dynamic resistance that general weight lifting does not, sports professionals, like your chiropractor, are adding them to their golf conditioning programs.

Besides back injuries, many golfers have painful “Golfer’s Elbow.” There is a minute difference between golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow despite the fact that they are almost the same. Tennis elbow impinges the outside of the upper arm whereas golfer’s elbow disturbs the inner arm. Golfer’s elbow, like tennis elbow, can result from a single violent action, such as (in golf) striking the mat at the driving range or thrusting down on a hard fairway surface. Repetitive stress from smaller shocks, however, is most often the cause. Furthermore, it can happen to those who abruptly start playing too much golf. For instance, if individuals that usually play golf once or twice a month decide to play in a tournament, they are potentially at risk for developing the injury.

Golf makes distinctive demands on our body. The game is usually longer than the majority of other sports and that can result in fatigue. Poor posture and lack of coordination are frequently the consequences of a fatigued body. These two factors combined can cause an assortment of injuries. Additionally, the shoulder muscles are susceptible to injury because of the repetitive swinging of the golf clubs. Just as attention should be given to make certain that your muscles are stretched and warmed up before starting your golf game, be sure that you rest your body appropriately between games.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is, sometimes, a surprising injury connected with golf. But, as it a problem that occurs as the result of repetitive stress, many games of golf played over several months repetitively may produce this injury. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can be a an extremely damaging injury causing incapacitation and sometimes necessitating surgery. However, if a health professional, such as your chiropractor, discovers it at an early stage, chiropractic management and, frequently, the use of a brace will relieve the problem.

The majority of golfers appear to think that injuries are merely an unavoidable part of a golfer’s life. But, a healthy, mobile spine, dedicated preparation, proper exercise and muscle conditioning, attaining and maintaining a a suitable fitness level, and reasonable rest and recuperation after your game is over, can help to make injuries a good deal less a part of your golfing experience.

Science and technology have literally put the world at our fingertips. And, in addition to the unlimited access we all have to information and communication, there are computer games, video games, and round-the-clock TV shows. Unfortunately, the “pros” of most things arrive hand-in-hand with the “cons.” Now, there are plenty of “cons” to be addressed here, but as a chiropractor, I’m going to focus on the adverse effect that our bad posture is having on our musculoskeletal system, not only while we’re engaging in these activities, but even after the work and play is done. All you need to do is to take a look at the majority of teenagers to see that posture, in general, is in a slump.

Why is posture so important? Poor posture causes headaches, neck pain, and back pain, just for openers. And, since the back bone is (eventually) connected to the hip bones and knee bones, bad posture can create a lot of painful movement from your head to your toes.

Joe Donofrio, dean of clinical services at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, offers some great posture tips. Check them out at goupstate.com

Low Back Pain

Low back pain is second in prevalence only to the common cold. It affects more than 80% of the population. However, unlike the common cold, back pain is often a mystery to most of its sufferers. Your Fort Worth Chiropractor is an expert at solving that mystery.

Anatomy

Knowledge of the anatomy of the spine is essential in understanding back pain. The spinal bones or vertebrae of the lower back are made of posterior joints called facets that join vertebrae to one another and serve to guide the movement of the spine. Inter-vertebral discs, comprised of tough cartilage, link the bodies of the vertebrae. This dense cartilage covers the nucleus, a soft material in the center of the inter-vertebral discs. The discs act as shock absorbers and spacers between the vertebrae. Ligaments and muscles also link the vertebrae. The sacrum is a wedge-shaped bone at the bottom of the spine. It is connected to the two pelvic bones at the sacroiliac joint. The spinal cord is situated between the facets of the vertebrae. The spinal nerves leave the spine between the vertebrae.

Causes of Back Pain

Most back pain patients have not experienced any trauma, accidents or major injuries prior to the onset of their problem. The origin of most back pain is the cumulative effects of awkward sitting posture, bad work habits, incorrect lifting, lack of regular exercise and other poor lifestyle-related factors. All of these factors cause stresses and imbalances on the spine and eventually cause pain. This is why people can often injure their back just by bending over to pick up a piece of paper. The spine was already put in jeopardy and just the simple act of bending was enough to set off the problem. When this comes about, the surrounding back muscles go into spasm to protect the stressed or injured tissues of the back. Chiropractors are back pain specialists. Your Chiropractor can help you to get out of pain quickly.

Disc Problems & Sciatica

Prolonged sitting, especially in a unsuitable position produces increased pressure on the intervertebral discs and imbalances in the muscles encompassing the spine. Eventually the lower spine loses its customary function and no longer is prepared for the normal day-to-day stresses in ones life. In the end, the intervertebral disc develops small fissures, or cracks, letting the soft nucleus to bulge the disc outward. If the disc pushes on sensitive tissues, it causes the pain that is often referred to as a slipped disc. Sciatica develops when the disc presses on the spinal nerve. The symptoms of sciatica include pain, tingling, numbness, and often weakness in the lower extremities. Regrettably, if the disc protrusion or herniation is large and the condition isn’t managed correctly, surgery may beneeded to remove the herniated disc material. With chiropractic adjustments and care, which often includes postural exercises, most disc problems, including sciatica, can be alleviated. If you are experiencing any of the conditions defined above, it is crucial for you to seek chiropractic attention.

Spondylosis

Repetitive injury to the discs, facet joints, and surrounding ligaments may result in increased erosion and weight-bearing stress on the spine. Bone spurs are created when the cartilage around the joints is negatively affected by stress that causes calcium to deposit in the tissues around the vertebrae. These spurs can constrict adjacent nerves, blood vessels and soft tissue resulting in symptoms ranging from minor pain and numbness to gross sensory loss and muscular atrophy. This condition – known as Spondylosis – is a type of arthritis that appears to affect almost everyone at some point in life, as it is a common part of the aging process of the spine as well. But, factors such as previous trauma, unhealthy lifestyle, and repetitive stress injury influence the time of onset in life. Regular chiropractic adjustments and overall chiropractic management is extraordinarily helpful in slowing the aging process of the spine, as well as aiding Spondylosis sufferers in managing their condition. Your Fort Worth Chiropractor has assisted many Spondylosis sufferers.

Sacroiliac Problems

The sacroiliac joints are a prevalent area of dysfunction or injury in the low back. These weight-bearing joints connect the upper part of the body to the lower pelvic portion and are usually very strong and stable. However with damage such as falls, sports injuries, or lifting heavy objects, the joints can become unstable and relocate to an abnormal position. This condition is called a sacroiliac subluxation. Women may encounter this condition during or after their pregnancy. The imbalances in the lower extremities caused by sacroiliac subluxation can produce a functional long and short leg. Individuals with this condition will feel pain specifically with prolonged standing and walking, or during or after physical activity. Many complain of lack of energy and feeling tired easily. Frequently this imbalance can affect structures further up the spine and individuals can develop neck and shoulder pain, as well as headaches. Chiropractic adjustments establish the proper alignment of the joints and are extremely affective in correcting sacroiliac problems. Ask your Fort Worth chiropractor how you can get effective pain relief.

Spinal Subluxation

Subluxated or misaligned facets joints are a prevalent disorder of the lower back, as well as the entire spine. Subluxations can exist on their own or in conjunction with disc problems and Spondylosis. They not only create pain, but they can also endanger the spinal nerves as they exit the foramen or spaces between the vertebrae, and create nerve compression, known as paraethesia. Paraesthesia is an alteration of sensation described as a tingling, burning or “funny feeling.” Paraesthesia in the upper extremities usuallyoriginates from nerve problems in the neck, while paraesthesia in the lower extremities is most often associated with nerve dysfunctionin the lumbar region (lower back). Visceral problems such as asthma and gastric conditions can also belinked to, or complicated by, spinal subluxations and nerve compression. Subluxations are best eliminated by chiropractic adjustments.

Trauma

Injury such as a fall, car accident, or sports injury can produce over-stretching or tearing of the tissues of the spine and lower back and cause considerable pain and immobility. Corrective chiropractic management at the onset of symptoms is very important in order to escape long term disability and the development of any of the above conditions. If you experience a trauma, call your chiropractor as soon as possible.

Scoliosis

Scoliosis is often associated with low back pain. Chiropractic care offers exceptional pain relief.

When it comes to the spine, chiropractors have more education and training than medical doctors. I can provides state of the art diagnosis and skilled treatment for any of the above-mentioned problems of the spine and lower back.

There is a large number of people today struggling with weight loss on a regular basis, notably excess weight around the middle. Yet, the necessity to lose weight is, more often than not, more than a simple cosmetic issue. The unfortunate truth is, if people are lugging around too much weight in the front of their body, their back is going to suffer as a consequence.

Most men and women who are overweight suffer from moderate to severe back pain. The reason for this is because the spine was not intended to carry anything that is more substantial in weight than the body is at its normally healthy weight. As a person puts on extra poundage, the spine starts to distort and to compress, causing a lot of pain and discomfort. The pelvis can also be affected and become tilted forward compelling it to pinch the sciatic nerve. That is one of the main reasons why people who are overweight tend to have challenges with their lower back. The suffering is due to either sciatica or the distorting of the spinal column.

If this problem sounds sorely familiar, and you’d like to get out pain, undoubtedly the thing to do is to do away with the extra weight that you are toting around, and your spine will immediately ease up and reestablish its regular position. Unfortunately, losing those pounds is hard and it can take time, even with the best of intentions. However, on a positive note you don’t have to continue to experience back pain as you lose the weight. A chiropractor can assist you in getting the pain relief you’ll require to help you as you shed the extra pounds.

However, you will still need to lose the extra pounds, and not having back pain will actually assist you in doing it. Losing the extra weight naturally and healthfully is very important, and there are two (simple but not easy) things that will work for sure: Get some sort of exercise each day, even if it’s just a small amount, and be certain that you take in fewer calories than you burn! Sure, you’ve heard about these two things before. However, now that you know your back is depending on you, it’s the perfect time to get truly motivated.

Start exercising slowly, particular if you’re having difficulties with back pain. And, most importantly, be sure to see a chiropractor so that you don’t make the mistake that many people do, which is to exercise into the pain. That will definitely make your condition worse. Exercise, though sometimes uncomfortable, should never be painful or cause pain. That’s why seeing a chiropractor is important if you’re suffering from back pain.

Do basic stretching exercises and also concentrate on your core abdominal body muscles. Strong stomach muscles aid in relieving back pain. Your chiropractor will be able to offer exercises that are best for you, individually. Within just a week or two of dedication to shedding the pounds that are producing your back pain and conceivably other health difficulties as well, you ought to begin to notice an enormous difference in the way that you feel.

It isn’t always requistie for you to find a common healing approach if you are experiencing back pain. As a matter of fact, frequently when medical science is inadequate in helping a person overcome pain, some natural methods have been found to be highly effective. One of the reasons why is because natural techniques tend to look for a cure for the true cause of the affliction while medical approaches treat only the symptoms. If you’re looking for natural techniques that have proved to help back pain and a number of other problems, you need look no further than chiropractic and acupuncture.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine. It is gaining in popularity many places around the world and for a splendid reason: A larger majority of sufferers have experienced relief from their back pain and many other problems by visiting an acupuncturist on a routine basis. Pursuant to traditional Chinese acupuncture therapy, small needles are inserted into the body at precise points that are said to affect multifarious areas of the body. Customarily, only the needles are used, but at times and in particular in recent years, minute electrical currents are passed through the needles into the body. Although it may seem though it would be painful, it seldom ever is and, actually, almost all people feel tranquil and pleasurable sensations whenever they are undergoing acupuncture treatments.

Chiropractic

A chiropractor, also called a doctor of chiropractic, has been helping individuals suffering from back pain and other problems for over a hundred years. A chiropractor offers therapy to those who are in pain due to musculoskeletal and nervous system dysfunctions. Chiropractic medicine attends to the abnormalities of the vertebral column that hamper the function of the nervous system. These misaligned vertebra can reduce resistance and immunity, hence producing new health difficulties. A proficient chiropractor has superb observational and diagnostic skills that aid in detecting physical abnormalities and joint problems. Many chiropractors perform neurological tests and orthopedic checks. Some will analyze the posture of someone as a way of identifying postural anomalies, and in addition may observe a person’s gait to determine faulty movement patterns. Chiropractic care non-surgical, drug-free treatment as well as advice and education about the advantages of individual lifestyle changes, such as in exercise and nutrition.

So, if you are experiencing back pain, headaches, neck pain, hip pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, balance challenges, or arthritis, and you’ve tried a number of other things and and you’re still suffering, chiropractic and acupuncture may be able to help. One way to find out for sure is to go in to see a good chiropractor or acupuncturist, and to permit them to tell you definitively what they can do for you. More than likely you will experience some relief from your suffering even after only one visit. With successive visits, you will maintain your improvements, and you might just discover that these natural treatments work best for your back pain.
